Maryanne
Kremer-Ames is a veteran of the New York music scene, and has
performed in most of the major halls, including Avery Fisher, Alice
Tully and Carnegie Recital Hall. She has toured with the American
Wind Symphony Orchestra and was a member of the Garden State Percussion
Trio, touring for Your Audiences of New Jersey. She taught at the
American Institute of Guitar, the Mannes College of Music, where
she received her Bachelor's degree, and Phoenix College, where she
headed the guitar department. She has performed and recorded with
the Phoenix Symphony and played with numerous chamber ensembles.
She currently plays with Lyra and Sonora, in addition to a busy
freelance schedule. She received her Master's degree from ASU in
1989.
Allen Ames
has performed with almost every musical group using the word "Arizona,"
including the Arizona Opera, Ballet, Pops and Jazz Orchestras, the
Arizona Art Ensemble and, of course, the Arizona Roping Rangers.
He has played with the Phoenix String Quartet and many other ensembles,
participating in the Sedona Chamber Music and Telluride Bluegrass
Festivals. His recording credits include albums by William Eaton,
Sharon Burch, the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, R. Carlos Nakai, and
others. Performances of his compositions have been sponsored by
the Arizona Composers Forum, and he is listed in Wenberg's "Violin
Makers of the United States." Mr. Ames currently performs with
Lyra, the William Eaton Ensemble, Meadowlark, and Mosaico Flamenco.
